Are you sitting on your couch having nothing to do and nothing fun on TV? Yes, that’s me too. I’m sure no holiday can be like this one. You are probably sick of staying at home and are yearning to go out. If you are looking for some fun activities to do at home then your at the right place.

~START BAKING~

Yes it’s that simple. You don’t have to start with something very fancy like a unicorn cake or maybe a red velvet cake (that’s hard for me). You can start baking something like a sponge cake or a mug cake if you are a beginner. I have failed many times in baking as my cakes end up tasting like something I have no words to describe but at the end of the day I did have fun baking especially with my loved ones.

~START BLOGGING~

You don’t need to be a good writer to blog. Start small and write about something you like and that you are confident about. Everything is a learning experience. By blogging you can improve your literature and also share your thoughts with others.

~GARDENING~ Get some pots and put some potting soil. Either buy seeds or get some seeds from your kitchen and grow plants at home. I mostly grow herbs like coriander and mint. It can be used to cook as well. Growing your own plant gives great satisfaction.

~RESEARCH CAREER~

If you are a student and bored during the holidays then make things productive. Research on your favorite career. If you like science look for interesting fields related to the subject. Make a list of careers you like and set your goals accordingly.

~EXERCISE~

Use this free time to get fit. Burn calories at home with simple exercises. Tone your body and refresh your mind by doing yoga. Do research on what exercises suit you best or consult a physician.

~DECLUTTER YOUR ROOM~

I don’t know about you, but my room is always a mess. If you’re like me, use these holidays to declutter and organize your room. Allot specific places for all your things and also deep clean your cupboards before rearranging your things.

~PAINTING~

Sometimes I don’t paint just because I don’t want to ruin the lovely white canvas. But only when I start with my first stroke I realize how relaxing painting is. Don’t worry about what the outcome is, just enjoy and play with colors. Painting is something I enjoy. I never thought I would paint so well, but with practice I did. Always remember what Bob Ross said, that mistakes are just happy accidents

~DIY DECORATION~

Go online and look for DIY decor ideas for your home using reusable materials like plastic cups. You can decorate your house with these crafts. It isn’t expensive and is a fun activity to do at home

~SPEND TIME WITH FAMILY~

The most important thing in life is family. Family time is very important. Instead of just scrolling through your phone spend time with your family by playing board games or maybe watching a movie at home. You will always cherish the lovely moments that you spend with your family.

I hope these ideas will help! Make this break a productive one.
