How to stop Procrastinating

We all feel so lazy sometimes or we even might be in a bad mood and don’t feel like doing anything or just watching Netflix for the whole day.

I procrastinate a lot and it’s really hard to have a productive day. Usually I feel like I did nothing for the whole day which makes me feel very guilty. I’m sure most of you go through the same feeling so I decided to share a few tips that helped me to be more PRODUCTIVE.



WRITE FIVE IMPORTANT THINGS YOU PLAN TO DO

I’m someone who doesn’t like a big schedule with a whole lot of work to do. But instead of just procrastinating the whole day I decided to write down five important things that I had to complete the next day. This makes me feel less stressed and I also have an organized and productive day.




TIMER After some quality time with my homework I decide to reward myself with some TV time. And I end up watching TV the whole day and not completing any of my work. This is why I always set a timer for around 30-20 minutes to watch TV and as soon as the timer goes off i continue with my work.



SET A DEADLINE

When my teacher gives us an assignment I usually leave it for tomorrow and relax today. But the sad part is that tomorrow never comes. And I end up doing all my assignments in the last minute. But one tip that has been really useful for me was setting a deadline. I usually write a deadline for my assignment before the actual date of submission, on a sticky note and stick it on my laptop screen or wherever I spend time the most. This helps me remember my assignment.





PUT YOUR PHONE AWAY When I sit down to study I ALWAYS get distracted by my phone, and end up being like ‘let me use my phone for just a minute and then I’ll get back to studying.’

But unfortunately I get glued to my device and never complete my work. So the best way to prevent it is by putting your phone away while you work or study.
